Lodestone and Horizon Nuclear Power have worked together since 2011 providing strategic communications and public affairs advice to the business. Lodestone have helped position Horizon as a leading developer of new nuclear power within the UK as they look to bring forward 5,400MW of secure, low-carbon electricity at two sites – Wylfa in Wales and Oldbury–on–Severn in the South West England by the mid 2020s. Lodestone advised through the process of the sale of Horizon by RWE npower and E.ON UK for £696m to Japanese conglomerate Hitachi Ltd in 2012.

Lodestone have helped raise the profile of the company and the senior team with Number 10, Department for Energy and Climate Change, BIS, HM Treasury, Wales Office, wider Whitehall and Westminster in successive Parliaments, which has helped ensure a successful cross party approach to public affairs. Lodestone and Horizon also worked closely together to provide select committee training to members of their senior management team.
