Lodestone led strategic communications, political liaison and community engagement for this complex project. The Garden Halls scheme, the largest student accommodation in London, involved a long consultation process and a vocal set of community stakeholders. We created a clear narrative targeted at appealing to key stakeholders, which flowed throughout the campaign. The scheme gained unanimous planning approval at committee in August 2013.
UPP and the University of London created a bespoke 50 year partnership in 2013 to redevelop the outdated University of London student accommodation provided at the Cartwright Gardens site. The landmark £140.7 million deal was established to ensure the continued provision of high quality, affordable accommodation in the capital, designed with the student experience at its heart. The project is due for completion in September 2016.
