The Lodestone team has worked with MBDA since 2007, offering strategic counsel at the highest level on issues critical to the business and the UK. This has recently included helping to raise the profile of the new managing director, with the Ministry of Defence, Number 10, HM Treasury, wider Whitehall and Westminster. Whilst navigating the changing political landscape during the last two General Elections, and maintaining MBDA’s position as a supplier of sovereign technology in a series of Strategic Defence and Security Reviews. This long term success has been built on a cross party approach to public affairs.

Lodestone also help position MBDA at the centre of the growth and skills debate, actively promoting MBDA’s award winning apprenticeship programmes in leading think tank research projects and creating speaking opportunities for apprentices in parliament. To highlight this, MBDA was an example of best practice in the Demos Apprenticeship Commission report in 2015 which was co authored by Lord Glasman and Robert Halfon MP. In 2013, a female MBDA apprentice spoke on stage before Prime Minister David Cameron delivered his annual conference speech. MBDA’s Director of UK Government and Political Affairs has been shortlisted for the CIPR and IoD Public Relations Director of the Year.
