Lodestone provided stakeholder engagement, community consultation and media support to RADA for the prestigious Attenborough Project. Our approach leveraged the creative spirit of the institution to develop a compelling narrative about why the project should be supported both locally and London-wide. The project received broad support and secured unanimous approval from Camden Council in March 2016.
The project will transform the building into a vibrant, state-of-the-art performance space while retaining original features of the former Drill Hall, which was acquired by RADA in 2012. The redevelopment will comprise a new 300-seat theatre, to be named the Richard Attenborough Theatre after RADA’s former President; enhanced resources including library and archives; and RADA’s first ever on-site accommodation for 60 students. Sir Kenneth Branagh was appointed the new President in 2015. Her Majesty The Queen is the Patron of RADA.
