Lodestone provided the world’s leading multinational e-commerce company Amazon with a detailed and accurate perceptions audit, detailing UK MPs’ attitudes towards the company and its market competitors to help inform Amazon’s stakeholder engagement strategy. Lodestone commissioned polling to co-create a pertinent and targeted survey for 100 UK MPs, providing quantitative data to assess changes in MPs’ perceptions of Amazon across time and across various policy areas. Lodestone used its extensive parliamentary and political network to secure interviews with influential MPs and Peers from across the House, as well as non-parliamentary stakeholders, providing valuable and timely insights into stakeholders’ perceptions of Amazon.
Lodestone presented its key quantitative and qualitative findings to Amazon’s European public affairs team and produced an extended report detailing the key issues raised by stakeholders and the results of our polling survey, drawing valuable conclusions and recommendations to support Amazon’s public affairs strategy. According to the in-house public affairs team, the report “created a sense of urgency” for the company to adapt its engagement strategy with parliamentarians and the local communities within which the company operates.
