Lodestone Appoints Head of Tech and Digital, Following Growth and Pitch Wins

November 25th 2016

Strategic communications and public affairs consultancy Lodestone has appointed Casey Calista to head up its growing tech and digital practice. This follows a number of wins, with the agency now providing secretariat services for the Parliamentary Internet, Communications and Technology Forum APPG (All Party Parliamentary Group), following a competitive pitch process. Lodestone also supports MediaGamma, who are leading the next generation of Artificial Intelligence, and the Sirius Programme, which supports entrepreneurs from around the world looking to start their venture in the UK.

Martha Dalton, Managing Director of Lodestone, said: “We are delighted to welcome Casey to our team, providing invaluable support to tech businesses and those in other sectors who want to make the most of the opportunities that digital innovation can provide. She brings cutting edge experience having previously managed a digital start-up that brought together some of the UK’s most well-read blogs.”

Prior to joining Lodestone, Casey helped to grow the sites she worked with in multiple ways including raising readership, increasing social media presence, influence, and expanding their funding base. A US citizen, Casey has a background in political fundraising and campaigning in the US and UK, including campaigning in the 2012 Obama re-election campaign.

In addition to recent tech wins, Lodestone has also won work with Ashurst LLP, the Innovation Unit, Trust for London, Teesside University and on a number of planning projects including those in London, Keele, Hull, Exeter and Reading. These new wins bolster the consultancy’s ongoing work with existing clients in the Energy, Defence, Property and Infrastructure, Higher Education, Health, FMCG, Charitable and Third sectors and come at a time when Lodestone is celebrating being recognised by the Living Wage Foundation as a London Living Wage Employer.

Lodestone was set up 4 years ago by co-founders David Wild, Chairman; Mike Parker OBE, Director; Martha Dalton, Managing Director and Fran O’Leary, Director. Lodestone was listed within the top 15 public affairs agencies by PRWeek in 2016 and Managing Director Martha Dalton was included in the magazine’s ’30 Under 30’ listing of communications professionals who are bringing new innovation to the industry. Lodestone was shortlisted in 2016 for the PR Moments PA Firm of the Year and the PRCA’s City & Financial Strategic Campaign of the Year.
